HOW WE TREAT

In addition to traditional therapeutic exercises and functional training, we utilize a variety of specialized methods and hands-on techniques to enhance healing, reduce pain, and improve movement. Our approach is individualized, evidence-based, and focused on helping patients recover safely, efficiently, and with lasting results.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound Therapy is a specialized physical therapy treatment that uses high-frequency sound waves to promote healing in soft tissues. It helps reduce pain and inflammation, improve circulation, and increase tissue flexibility.

Conditions commonly treated include:

  • Muscle strains and tears

  • Ligament sprains

  • Tendonitis and tendinopathy

  • Joint stiffness and inflammation

  • Scar tissue and soft tissue adhesions

  • Overuse and sports-related injuries

Ultrasound therapy supports faster recovery and improved movement.

Vestibular Therapy

Vestibular Therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy designed to treat balance disorders and dizziness caused by inner ear or neurological conditions. It uses targeted exercises to reduce vertigo, improve balance, stabilize vision, and enhance coordination.

Conditions commonly treated include:

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

  • Vestibular neuritis and labyrinthitis

  • Post-concussion syndrome

  • Ménière’s disease

  • Chronic dizziness or imbalance

  • Motion sensitivity

  • Fall risk related to balance deficits

Vestibular therapy helps patients regain confidence, improve safety, and return to daily activities.

Manual and McKenzie Techniques

Manual Therapy and McKenzie Techniques   are hands-on and movement-based physical therapy approaches used to relieve pain, restore mobility, and improve function. Manual therapy includes skilled techniques such as joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and stretching to reduce pain and stiffness. The McKenzie techniques focuses on specific exercises and posture education to promote self-management and prevent recurrence.

Conditions commonly treated include:

  • Neck and low back pain

  • Disc-related conditions (bulging or herniated discs)

  • Sciatica and nerve-related pain

  • Poor posture and spinal stiffness

  • Muscle strains and joint restrictions

  • Chronic or recurrent spine pain

These methods help patients move better, reduce reliance on passive treatments, and maintain long-term results.

Soft Tissue Mobilization (STM)

Soft Tissue Mobilization (STM) includes hands-on techniques such as soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic massage, and myofascial release to reduce pain, release muscle tension, and improve tissue flexibility. These techniques help break down restrictions, improve circulation, and promote healing, allowing for better movement and function.

Conditions commonly treated include:

  • Muscle tightness and spasms

  • Sports and overuse injuries

  • Neck, back, and shoulder pain

  • Tendonitis and muscle strains

  • Post-surgical stiffness or scar tissue

  • Headaches related to muscle tension

STM supports faster recovery, improved mobility, and long-term pain relief.

Kinesio taping

Kinesio Taping is a therapeutic taping technique used to support muscles and joints without restricting movement. It helps reduce pain and swelling, improve circulation, enhance muscle function, and provide joint stability during activity.

Conditions commonly treated include:

  • Muscle strains and overuse injuries

  • Joint instability (shoulder, knee, ankle)

  • Tendonitis and soft tissue inflammation

  • Sports-related injuries

  • Postural dysfunction

  • Swelling and lymphatic congestion

Kinesio taping supports healing while allowing patients to stay active and move comfortably.

Lymphatic Therapy

Lymphatic Therapy in physical therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the natural drainage of excess fluid. It helps reduce swelling, improve circulation, and support tissue healing.

Conditions commonly treated include:

  • Lymphedema (primary or secondary)

  • Post-surgical swelling

  • Post-injury edema

  • Chronic inflammation

  • Cancer-related lymphatic swelling

  • Venous insufficiency–related swelling

Lymphatic therapy helps improve comfort, mobility, and overall recovery.

At Motion Rehab, we believe that movement is medicine. Every patient who walks through our doors deserves compassionate, individualized care designed to restore strength, relieve pain, and help you return to the activities you love most.
